Terms of Service

1. About these Terms

Svvy is operated by SVVY AS (org. no. 934 745 647), a private limited liability company registered in Norway, with official address at Pilestredet Park 12, 0176 Oslo ("Svvy", "we", "us"). These Terms constitute the agreement between you and SVVY AS when you use Svvy as a student, on the web or in the app.

You accept these Terms by ticking the box we show you before you use Svvy.

By ticking the box you also confirm that you have read and accept our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data. Where we rely on your consent, for example to store your documents or to send an application to a university, we ask for it separately, and you can refuse or withdraw it at any time.

2. Who can use Svvy

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You may have one account, and it is for you only.
• The information you provide us, in your profile and in your applications, must be true, accurate and kept up to date at all times.

3. What Svvy does, and what it does not

Svvy helps you find and compare university programmes, save the ones you are interested in, keep your documents in one place, apply to any of our partner universities of your choice, and message them. Svvy may suggest programmes based on what you tell us; these suggestions follow fixed rules and are not a prediction of your chances. We may also use AI to give you feedback on your documents (section 7).

Svvy is free of charge for students.

Svvy is not a university, and is not your representative or agent. In particular:

• Universities alone decide whether to admit you, and set their own requirements, deadlines and fees.
• Visa and residence decisions are made by the authorities. We do not give legal or immigration advice.
• We do not guarantee admission, a visa, scholarship or any other outcome.
• Programme information comes from universities and public sources. We try to keep it accurate, but it can be out of date: check important details on the university's official website if deemed necessary.

4. Your account

Keep your login details to yourself, and inform us immediately at legal@svvybtg.com if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what is done through your account.

You can delete your account at any time in Settings, on the web or in the app. Upon deletion, Svvy will delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy, and ask the universities that received an application from you through Svvy to delete their copy.

5. Your documents and applications

We store the documents you upload only with your consent, which we ask for before your first upload. We send your application, and the personal documents you choose for it, to a university only with your consent, which we ask for every time you submit an application or add documents to one.

You can withdraw your consents:

• Document storage, in Settings. We then delete your stored documents. Documents that are part of an application you have submitted stay with that application until the recipient no longer needs them.
• Sharing an application, by withdrawing the application. Svvy then asks the university to delete its copy. A university is responsible for what it has received, and may have to keep some of it under the local rules and regulations that apply to it.

By uploading a document, you confirm that:

• it is genuine and has not been altered or modified in any way;
• it is about you, or you have the right to share it;
• you understand that a university may verify it with the issuer.

Submitting false or altered documents can lead to your applications being rejected and your account being closed (section 10) without prior notice.

6. Partner services

Some services are offered by independent partners, for example application and visa support from AdmitAll in the Philippines. They are optional. We share your information with a partner only if you choose to, and the partner's own terms apply to the service it gives you.

7. AI features

Where we use AI, for example to give you feedback on a document, the result is guidance only. It can be wrong or incomplete, it does not decide anything about you, and it is never sent to a university as an assessment of you. Check anything important yourself before you rely on it.

8. Using Svvy services

You agree not to:

• impersonate anyone, or apply on someone else's behalf;
• send messages to universities or other users that are abusive, misleading or unsolicited advertising;
• share other people's personal data without a lawful reason;
• try to access parts of Svvy or data you are not meant to, or disrupt how Svvy works;
• copy or collect content from Svvy;
• use Svvy for anything unlawful.

9. Content and intellectual property

Svvy, including its software, design and our own content, belongs to SVVY AS or our licensors. You may use it to apply for studies for yourself, not for any other purpose.

You keep the rights to what you upload and write. You allow us to use it only to provide Svvy to you, as described in these Terms and in the Privacy Policy. That permission ends when you delete it, except for copies already sent to a university with your consent.

10. Suspending or closing an account

We may suspend or close your account without prior notice if you are in material or repeated breach of these Terms, for example by submitting false documents, or if the law requires it. We will inform you, if necessary after the account has been closed, unless the law or the safety of others prevents it, and you can contact us with a written complaint if you disagree with our decision.

11. Our responsibility

We provide Svvy services with reasonable care and skill, and we work to keep it available and secure. However, we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors.

We are not responsible for:

• decisions made by universities or authorities, including admission and visa decisions;
• services provided by universities or partners;
• loss caused by information you gave us that was wrong;
• indirect loss, such as lost opportunities or future earnings;
• loss caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as power failure, fire or a criminal attack on our systems, where we have taken appropriate security measures.

To the extent permitted by law, Svvy's total liability to you, whatever the cause, is limited to USD 250.

12. Changes to Svvy and to these Terms

Svvy will change over time. If we materially change our Terms, we will inform you and ask you to accept the new version before you continue. If you do not accept it, you can delete your account.

13. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Norwegian law and disputes are resolved at Oslo District Court (Oslo tingrett) if not amicably settled after a written claim has been received.
